3. Description: Casket of ebony and red-wood, with ebony and ivory slips of veneer. Sides Corner posts and top and bottom slats of ebony. Below box proper corner posts are rounded off for legs. Panels of box proper of red-wood. Round each a border 2.5 wide of veneered slips of ivory and ebony, two of each, starting with ivory on outside. In centre one side at top ivory knob for sealing, 3.9 in diam., projecting 1.5. Lattice work of red wood, ends tongue fastened. Bronze caps at bottom of legs. Ends Exactly the same, except that diagonal lattice slats are shorter. Lid Divided into two panels by cross-slat, of same width as frame. Each of these panels had the same ivory & ebony slip veneer. On centre slat, set in 4.5 from edge, ivory knob,
