Headdress
On the head Nemmyes headdress, the radiating pleating of which is
in relief work and not inlaid as in other cases.
Insignia
Upon the forehead the royal insignia: right side (south) Nekhbet-
vulture, left side (north) Uazet-uraeus of Buto. These are inlaid
as follows: - Eyes of vulture, Obsidian, beak, horn-coloured
glass (somewhat decomposed); head of uraeus, deep blue faience,
eyes inlaid carnelian and gold, front of uraeus, inlaid with
quartz (substitute for carnelian), lapis lazuli, turquoise and
carnelian coloured glass.
Face
The eyes and eyebrows inlaid with lapis lazuli-coloured glass,
eyeballs opaque white calcite (decomposed), pupils, obsidian.
The beard inlaid with lapis lazuli-coloured glass.
The ears pierced, holes when discovered being covered with gold
foil.
Necklaces
Attached to the neck are two massive necklaces of disc-shaped
beads made of yellow and red gold and dark blue faience; they
terminate in clasps of lotus flower form and are inlaid
