Handlist description: Natural yellow sulphide of arsenic (orpiment)

Card/Transcription No.: 620(86)

620-86 (from under 507)

Natural yellow sulphide of arsenic (orpiment) Has been tied up in small piece of linen (or bag), but this has largely disintegrated and only pieces are left. The material is very typical; part is in small lumps and part is powder. The material was mixed with dust and dirt from the floor which were sifted & picked out as far as possible.
