608. WOODEN KIOSK CONTAINING SHAWABTI-FIGURES

POSITION: On floor beside S. wall of chamber, leaning on lid of No. 605, some of the gilt wood shawabti-figures fallen out upon floor (not visible in photographic records of chamber). DIMENSIONS: 60 cents. high, 24.5 cents. wide, 22 cents. deep.

DESCRIPTION: Wooden kiosk upon sledge, covered with black resin, rough workmanship, roof (lid) made out of one piece of wood, on front of roof and kiosk knob for cord and seal- traces of both cord & seal having ever been there.

CONTENTS: 22 wooden gesso-gilt shawabti-figures similar to the series found in kiosk No. 512 (See 608, A to E). 79 copper miniature agricultural implements (see 608, F.).
