596, K. STAVE OF A BOW

Stave of compound bow, composed of wood and gelatinous substance (see section); covered with a light yellowish bark (? birch); ornamented with an oblong patch on back of the two limbs of a dark brown bark, and the ends of the limbs with also dark brown bark; the horns light yellow bark. For dimensions and form see diagram below.
