R. A solid ivory gaming-board, with small drawer for the playing-pieces at one end.

Dimensions: L. 13.5 x W. 4.2 x H. 2.8 cents.

The 3 x 10 game on the top surface; and the 3 x 4 + 8 game on the bottom surface. The drawer which had never been opened since it was placed in the tomb, contained: - two ivory knuckle-bones; five ivory coloured red playing pieces of <> form; and five white ivory playing pieces of <>-form - making undoubtedly a complete set. The drawer was fastened with the regular '<>-bolt', shot in small gold staples. Unfortunately the gaming-board has been much disfigured by melted leather which had become a black gelatinous mass caked hard, & which with great trouble could be only removed by warm water, and then only partially on account of the
