The sides of the boat are decorated from stem to stem pieces with a chequer & garland pattern.

Pedestal.

The pyloniform pedestal stands upon four short cylindrical legs; has torus-moulding and cavetto-cornice. The two sides and end (back) are decorated with chequer and garland patterns. On the front end, the prenomen and nomen of Tut-ankh-Amen, and nomen of Ankh-es-en-Amen. The top of the pedestal is hollowed out like a pond, in the centre of which a small island-like plinth is left to support the boat. The four sides of the island - like plinth are decorated with papyrus reeds in bud and in full bloom.
