547. HEAD-DRESS BOX  
(SEE LID 615)

POSITION: In N.E. corner of chamber lying on its side in box No. 548 (see photos. 1146, 1147).

DIMENSIONS: (Exclusive of lid). H. 50.0; W. 40.0 x 40.0; cents.

DESCRIPTION: Dark wooden box, composed of stiles, rails and panels, resting upon four short legs (being continuation of corner pieces). Panels bordered with: -

<> light brown wood dark brown wood light brown wood light and dark blue faience calcite

plain knob in front, let into panel.

No inscription (see lid 615).

In the interior, fixed to the bottom of the box, a wooden support (i.e. dummy) for head-dress. The base pegged to bottom of box; the shaft morticed to top and base.

<> 37.0 cents. 10.0 heavy dark wood stucco wood painted white

Small notches <> in back uprights to receive battens of lid.
