489. WINE-JAR

POSITION: On ground resting upon another wine-jar (490) east side of chamber (see photo 1142).

DIMENSIONS: Max. H. 70.8; H. of seal 17.5 cents.

DESCRIPTION: Buff pottery (baked rather red) wine-jar; two loop handles; large clay seal covering the mouth and neck (see photo of No. 571). Bears three impressions on the sides and one on the top of seal - (see type B). No impression upon re-sealing of gas-hole Bears docket in hieratic on shoulder - (see photo)

REMARKS: Blow hole mended on jar with wax.
