305, A. FIGURE OF THE GODDESS NEPHTHYS

Covered with a piece of linen which had fallen in decay. Max. H. (including pedestal) 57.2, pedestal, 21 x 12.4 x 6.6, cms. Figure of the goddess in mummy form, carved of wood, gesso-gilt, wears Usekh-collar, eyes inlaid bronze, obsidian and calcite. Pedestal, varnished with black resin, inscribed with yellow paint: <>sic
