303, A. FIGURE OF THE GOD TATA

Covered with a piece of linen tied round neck. Max. H. (including pedestal) 70; pedestal, 22 x 12.6 x 5.8, cms. Figure of a god in mummy form, carved of wood, gesso-gilt, wears the white crown of Upper Egypt, the Usekh-collar with Mankhet at back, eyes inlaid obsidian, bronze and calcite. Pedestal varnished with black resin, inscribed with yellow paint: <>
