301, A. FIGURE OF THE GOD HAPI

Covered with linen tied round neck. Max. H. (including pedestal) 58.2; pedestal 20 x 11.7 x 5.8, cms. Figure of the god in mummy form, carved of wood, gesso-gilt, wears the Usekh-collar, eyes inlaid with obsidian, bronze and calcite, beard of ebony. Pedestal varnished with black resin, inscribed with yellow paint: <>
