267, G. & H. FLEXIBLE PECTORAL, WITH SUSPENSION CHAINS, AND
COUNTERPOISE CLASP

CLASP:
A pair of uraei with sliding fastening in centre, this is attached to the straps by means of
double strings of beads.
STRAPS:
Two curved shoulder pieces in the form of a flying vulture, to which are attached plaques
in the following order:
(1) Solar disk; (2) ded-symbols upon Heb-festival symbols; (3) double solar disk; (4) ankh-symbol between two uraei; (5) solar disk with pendant uraei; the Kheper-beetle in open
work in the round; (7) the Heb-festival symbol (8) the symbols Nefer Ankh between solar
uraei; (9) solar disk with pendant uraei; (10) the Kheper-beetle in open work in the round;
and lastly (11) the Heb-festival symbol.
Each strap has a bead border on either side, and the plaques are attached by means of four
strand bead-work at back passed through fixed eyelets on the plaques.
FLEXIBLE PECTORAL:
Made up of five separate pieces as follow: -
(1) the solar disk with pendant uraei and Ankhs, (2) the Kheper-beetle supported by (3) the
solar-barque; (on either side is a flanking ornament (4 & 5) of solar uraeus and Ded, Ankh
and Nefer symbols, on the tops of which are the strap fastenings.
