Note The cornice of the sarcophagus fits the IVth shrine exactly on the three sides N. S. & E., at the W. end there is a slight difference, i.e., the shrine slightly too small which necessitated the ancients to cut away from the top edges of the inner surface about a centimetre and a half. This apparently owing to the shrine or sarcophagus not being a line rectangular.

It would seem that it is from here, and other slight enlargements made at the N and S.E. corner, that the numerous splinters found on the floor (found when dismantling the shrines) came.
