238a SEAL AND CORD - from Third Inner Shrine (No. 238)

POSITION: Original. Upon the northernmost staple corded of the Third Inner Shrine No. 238 (see photo)

DIMENSIONS: (1) L.(uncertain) W. 13.5 m/ms (2) L. 25 or 24.5 m/ms W. 15.0 to 15.5 m/ms Diam. of cord 4 m/ms

DESCRIPTION: Clay seal bearing two seal-impressions fixed to the cord that closed the folding doors of the Third Inner Shrine (238). Upper seal impression (1) <> Lower seal impression (2) <> These seals are without doubt the same as upon 237a The variation of the dimensions of these seals (237a & 238a) is due to accident.

REMARKS: Saturated in solution of celluloid dissolved in amyl acetate.
