Second Shrine No. 238.

The cornice including the roll moulding, constructed of four separate members, is tongued to the corner posts and frieze of the under-structure.

The origin of the form and ornamentation of this overhanging hollow moulding is manifestly derived from wattle and daub fencing, the tips of the palm leaves or stalks projecting above and hanging over.
