The Second Shrine - No. 238

In comparison with the first, this second shrine represents more the characteristic Egyptian shrine form, since it has the round fronted sloping roof. Otherwise, in shape, its structure is precisely the same as that of the first shrine. Its execution, however, taken as a whole, is perhaps the finer of the two, especially in the case of its over-all decoration of incised figures and texts.
