3. Description (Cont.) B. Basis some black adhesive material. On gesso over cloth. Colour now black: in places distinct traces of blue. On either edge narrow bands of dark bark(?) and gold, or gold on bark. C. Band of the same black, strips of gold. D. Same as B E. " " C F " " B G " " C H. Same as B I " " C J " " B K a thicker gummy substance, soluble in water. L. " " B M. Broad gold band: below pattern of coloured bark & gold, applied direct to wood, terminating in a narrow band of gold. N. Plain wood O. Similar to M, but pattern different. P.R.T.V. Same as B. Q.S.U. Same as C.
