219 Gilt 'uas'staff

1. Position Between outermost and 2nd shrines: standing up in N.E. corner.

2. Dimensions L. circ. 157, badly warped. Average diam. 2. Slight thickening at animal head. Max. width of fork 5.2: W at bottom 2.

3. Description Wooden 'uas' staff covered with gesso & overlaid with gold. Light flimsy wood, badly warped. No details to head. Fork at bottom joined solid with gesso. At 16.5 from top of stick a linen flap or tassel circ. 5 long tied on by a thin strip of linen which wound round twice. A number of worm holes in the staff throughout its length.

4. Treatment Cleaned with ammonia & water: waxed.
