138. Three Snake's Head Amulets

1. Position On lion-head couch, under the bed, close to candle-sticks (41).

2. Dimensions Max. length 6.4.

3. Description Three uraei pendants, with gold caps and suspension rings. Remains of cord on which they were hung .2 in diam. Also a tassel 4. long. Two of wood, one of stone. (1) Agate or chalcedony. Gold cap 1.5 wide. Suspension ring .4 wide x .3 high. On one side of the uraeus incised cartouche (Kheperu-neb-re). (2) Hard wood. Gold cap .6 wide. Suspension ring .5 wide x .3 high. (3) Hard wood. Gold cap .9 wide. Suspension ring .4 wide x .6 high.

4. Treatment Cleaned with water, with a little ammonia for the gold. Cords sprayed with celluloid in amyl-acetate.
