126. Two handled alabaster vase

Position (?) not original

Dimensions. H. 26.4; Max. diam. 26.5; diam. of lip 18.0.

Description. Squat-bellied vase with two loop handles, cylindrical neck, and roll lip wrought out of alabaster (calcite). Without inscription.

Content. Appears to have contained some dark substance now disappeared.

Remarks. Quite perfect. Showing spots or stains(?) from its original contents. Treatment washed in cold water to remove yellowish film deposit.
