Narrow band of applied thicker gold with scroll pattern.

L. side exactly similar.

At the bottom of these sides of frame, where they swell to join axle two kneeling captive figures in relief, back to back, over an Asiatic, the other an African.

The bosses at the ends of the sides have collars of thick gold, with floral pattern inlay of calcite & blue and green glass. Then comes a cap of ivory (?), with raised lotus leaves and buds in black & red. Lastly comes the pin .7 in diam., of bright red gold with decoration of yellow granules.
