104. Two reed sandals.
1. Position
On floor of chamber, near S.W. corner, between gold shrine and mouth of Annexe.

Max. length 31: Max. width 11; W at instep 8.7; at heel 9.
Built up of a series of lateral bundles of thin reed slip, woven by thin strips of the same
material. Round rim two circular courses to bind.
Toe thong a bundle of reed strip 1. in diam. To which was tied at upper end a loop of papyrus
leaf 3.7 wide.
Thong started 6 from toe.
Side thongs, start 7 from heel.
Begins with a loop of read 5.3 long. Into this loop was inserted a papyrus leaf which widens to
4. at shoulder, and then narrows slightly to go under loop of toe thong.
Treatment Sprayed with a solution of celluloid in amyl acetate.
