1.5 1.1 Tip

Compound bow. Length 125 cm. Oval in section, 2 thick in centre, 1 at narrowest point. 2.8 deep in centre.

Main part of bow covered with applied light yellow bark. Inscribed bands on outer side a a of dark bark with hieroglyphs in tiny strips of the light. They read vertically in each case from outside in. (See next sheet). At 4.7 from outer end of each inscription band a band of dark bark 1.2 wide. 4 cm. down from string notches also dark. The bow was made of two pieces joined together, end of join covering 27 cm. from middle.

Treated with melted paraffin wax.
