14 (a) Small wooden box, with ivory, ebony & red wood veneer.

1. Position Not original.

2. Dimensions 11 x 8.3 x 6.8

3. Description Box proper of plain wood painted red. Whole outside covered with veneer of ivory ebony and red wood (?carob).

Thickness of wood .6 + .2 of veneer.

Arrangement of inlay see diagram.

Feet separate square blocks glued on.

Ivory knob at one end. 2.1 in diam; projects .8

Lid missing.

Treatment. Cleaned with damp brush. Sprayed with celluloid in amyl acetate. Repaired with celluloid cement.
