POSITION: Among miscellanea heaped up at S. end of chamber (see photo 1150).

DIMENSIONS: Max. L. 67.4; shaft of handle 51.0, cents.

DESCRIPTION: Wood stock of a fan, decorated with bark and green leather marquetry work The cartouche of the King in central panel of the stock of fan. Remains of ostrich feathers were found with it, but too far deteriorated for preservation. This fan probably belongs to the bundle of sticks, fan, & weapons No. 596.
