POSITION:
Resting on floor under a mass of material in the middle of the
chamber about 60 cents. from the S. wall - (see photos. 1149 and
1150).

DESCRIPTION:
A knick-knack chest, made of a heavy dark wood; of intricate make
and fitted with many compartments of sliding box-shaped type,
sliding lids, and pigeon-hole (vertical) recesses, for a
miscellanea of personal objects.
The sides are dove-tailed and pegged together and are ornamented
wit thin slats; the mitred lid is inlaid with slats of ivory; the
chest stands on four short square feet which are cupped with
heavy bronze cups; the lid hinged by means of two very strong and
well made bronze hinges; the wooden knob on lid is so devised as
to turn and lock onto one of the inner portions. Thus
