560. WINE-JAR
(See 571, 434, 413, 568, 489, 392).

POSITION: Leant against the N.W. corner of chamber (see photo 1148). It is possible that this wine-jar is in situ. DIMENSIONS: Max. H. 72.5; H. of seal 18.7 cents.

DESCRIPTION: Buff pottery wine-jar; two loop handles; clay seal covering the mouth and neck (see photo). (The seal has a decided pink hue suggesting partial firing). Bears three impressions on sides and one on top of seal (see type C). No trace of gas-hole. Bears hieratic docket on shoulder. Bears imprint of seal on handle of jar (before baking), of cartouche form but unfortunately illegible.

REMARKS: At base hole or fault outlined with black ink and plastered over. Hard (?) residue inside.
