417 A DOUBLE VASE (CALCITE)
POSITION:
Resting on floor in middle of chamber below a mass of objects
(see photos 1138, 1139 and 1140).
DIMENSIONS:
Max. H. 28.3 cents.
DESCRIPTION:
A double vase in the form of two double handled oviform vessels
joined together, wrought in calcite.
Each vase has an oviform bowl; round stem & foot; cylindrical
neck; lip; and broad flat handles with imitative lashing round
neck.
Though this double vase has two mouths the double bowl forms one
chamber.
REMARKS:
Contents robbed - slight residue on bottom.
Traces of lids having been luted onto the mouths.
