261, O. PECTORAL OF OSIRIS.

An open-work pectoral of pylonic form, containing the following device:
in the centre the figure of Osiris, called <>;
on the right side is the serpent Buto named <>,
and wears the red crown of Lower Egypt; on the left side the vulture Nekhebet wearing the
white crown of Upper Egypt with feathers and named <>
On either side of the feathered cornice and garland frieze of the pylonic frame is the solar
uraeus; the sides and base being of simple rectangular pattern.
The pectoral was suspended by means of strings of (?) on either side for which the fastenings
are pierced.
This pectoral together with 261, M and 261, N. was wrapped in a piece of linen.
