256, TT. An Amuletic Knot (in gold)

POSITION: Thorax; left side, parallel with arm. Group VII (i.e., TT, and KKK).

DIMENSIONS:

<> Nat.size 16cents.

DESCRIPTION: An amulet of knot form, cut out of burnished sheet gold.

REMARKS: Significance unknown - cf. similar objects generally of wood found among foundation deposits of temples - see those of Hatshepsut especially.
