The straps are composed of alternate gold and lapis lazuli
rectangular beads having in their centres concentric circles -
they are threaded together upon four threads. The outer edges
being bordered with minute gold and blue glass beads.

The clasp: - comprises two eagles (contiguous), head resting
on scapulas; of gold finely inlaid with lapis lazuli, felspar,
onyx stone (or ?glass), carnelian and green glass.
The clasp opens and closes by sliding the two birds upon slot
and tongue provided between the two.
REMARKS:
The present mounting only shows about 50% of the bead-straps
many of the lapis beads having decayed, others their holes
blocked up.
