256, LLL. Gold collar of Buto

POSITION: Thorax: reaching down as far as left forearm, ends of wing over shoulders and bent round neck. Forms VIIIth group.

DESCRIPTION: Collar of Buto cut out of sheet gold, with details finely chased. Attached to tips of wings by means of gold (beaten) wire of Macnht or tag.

REMARKS: Cf. Lacau, Sarcophages, pl. LI. Cf. Mace and Winlock, Senebtisi, p. 64 ff. The Mankhet lies under the back between the shoulder blades.
