175. SILVER TRUMPET - Embellished with gold. (See 50 gg)

POSITION: South east corner of tomb-chamber, lying on ground under calcite lamp No. 173.

DIMENSIONS: L. 58.0; Diam. of end 8.8, centimetres. For further dimensions see below.

DESCRIPTION: A silver trumpet discovered wrapped in reeds.

arc. This gold band of gold beaten on the silver.

The trumpet-shaped end is engraved with a whorl of sepals and calices to represent a lotus flower, with also the prenomen and nomen of the king, and a rectangular tableau depicting the three gods: <>, before <> sic
