Basis a bronze bar, square in section, .2 On this were threaded a series of alternate black & white cylinders of glass & white stone(?) so <> These 1. in diam. In each of these 3 triangular pieces of inlay, gold on the black & stone (fibrous calcite) on the white, fastened with a red resinous cementive one on each side & one on top <>.

End cylinder at top (black) had a gold cap at the end: metal core also covered with gold here & widening to take a cap of some sort. Metal at other end has a hole near end with a gold pin still in it, and above a second hole, not perforated through. ? attached to what: could not have been to wood, as nail not big enough.
