77 Two bows, simple & compound.

1. Position Lying on middle bed (73). Original position (?)

(a) 2. Dimensions Diam. .8 at tips: 2.5 in middle.

3. Description. Simple bow of hard reddish wood. Bands of gold leaf on gesso, at ends & in centre.

4. Remarks The bow could only have been a ceremonial one. No notches for string, nor would the gesso & gold leaf ever have carried it.

Treatment. Washed with damp sponge & sprayed gesso with solution of celluloid in amyl acetate.
