Two independent tubes of wood, joined together at top and bottom by a band of gesso covered
with gold leaf. Supported also by a back panel of ivory .9 wide. This ran under gesso at
bottom, over it at top.
Whole surface of wood covered by thin sticks of alternate light blue and dark blue glass,
former .1 in diam. latter .2. These ran under gesso, top and bottom.
Ivory lid, pegged at back to swivel, by a wooden peg, with a head .8 in diam.
Holes at bottom of each wooden cylinder, i.e. bottom must also have been covered with gesso
originally.
On front side, 4.6 down, a projecting metal ring to carry stick.
Treatment.  Washed with water.
