43 (k) Ring-pad(?)

Position under (j). Length of maize pith. L 8.5 : diam. 1.8. To this was sewn a piece of coarse cloth. One end now torn and ragged: at the other the excess cloth was bound round tight with thread. Probably a pad for rings.

Treatment: Sprayed with cellulose acetate in acetone.
