43 (j) Linen glove

Position under (b), in centre of box. Twisted up carelessly. This was a pair to (i). This the left hand.

Meas 4th to third finger 6. : 3rd - 4th 6.5 3rd to 2nd 6.0 : 2rd - 3rd 6.5 2nd to 1st 7.0: 1st - 2 6.0 1st - thumb 9.5: thumb - 1st 6.0

String attached to back 5.5 from bottom. Sewn a distance of 3.0. Length of loose string beyond this 16.5. Consisted of a linen cord 1.5 mm. in diam. folded over & edges sewn. Glove cut from two pieces of cloth, fingers and all. These joined by a strip of cloth sewn round all the seams, with .5 overlap on each side. Thus there is a seam round each finger both back and front.

Treatment Sprayed with solution of cellulose acetate in acetone.
