3.Description
Box of ebony, ivory and red-wood.
Cornice of ebony, 2.5 wide.
Torus moulding ivory: runs right through to inside. Ivory represented black
in sketch.
Legs, and cross slats above and below panel of ebony.
Panels of red wood with surrounds consisting of 2 strips of ivory & 2 of
ebony. These strips inlaid into the red wood panel.
Caps over feet of copper or bronze.
On each side supporting bars of red wood (corners filled in with triangles
of ivory.
Knob of ivory.
At knob end on panel 2 projecting rings (2.5 cm) of copper or bronze. Each
end after piercing wood thinned to a wire and bent across to form a double
ring.
These projecting rings give this central panel the appearance of a pull-out
