3.Description
Box and lid each cut from a solid block of alabaster (calcite).
Fastening knob of obsidian at one end 3.8 in diam, projecting 2. This set
into a square hole, 1.1, starting 3.2 fron top rim.
Similar knob on lid, starting 2.7 from end.
Side panels recessed about .2. Long panels on lid recessed about .1.

Filled almost to top with first a single thickness of cloth, and then a
mass of decayed hair - probably horse-hair. At corners two round balls of
hair covered with cloth and tied round below ball. These were 5 and 6 in
diam. respectively
