Made of wood covered with gesso and gilt. The eyes inlaid (L. missing
anciently). The standard rests upon a rectangular pedestal (44.5 x 14.5 x
4.0) covered with a black material similar to shrine (38). Upon the front
of the pedestal the following very crudely written legend in yellow paint
<>.

38,c
A piece of linen used for covering the standard. It was over the back and
<> symbol of the d-snake, and was tied round the forepart of the snake (see
photo and note by A.L.).

Shrine (38) Nil.
Standard (38b). Removed dust with dry brush: washed with damp sponge &
small, soft damp brush. After drying sprayed with a solution of celluloid
in amylacetate.
