620-94 PAIR OF EAR-STUDS

An ear-stud (ear-ring) of very dark red (almost black) resin, of boss form, encrusted with white crystalline limestone and translucent calcite which appears to have red pigment in the form of a cement underneath to give it a red hue. The cylindrical fastenings (one tube passing over the other) are of gold.

Only the boss of the second one was found.
