the prenomen & nomen of the King, these rest on <> 'nub'-signs, and are repeated twice with a dividing sign <> nfr; (2) a winged 'khpr'-beetle(1) supporting the solar disc in its fore-legs, and holding the plural signs (III) and 'neb'-sign in its posterior-legs - thus forming the King's prenomen; the cartouches are 'picked-out' with blue pigment. (1) (broken) (c) A band of incised hieroglyphic text (see note attached) encircling the middle, and filled in with blue pigment. (a, b and c form the upper half of the envelope.).

(d) The lower portion of the envelope, i.e. the calyx-like base, takes the form of a lotus-lily rendered by a whorl of sepals in high relief, between which the whorl of petals forming the corolla are shown in lower relief.
