390 A GROUP OF 13 ARROWS

POSITION: Lying on top of miscellanea centre of chamber (see photos. 1137, 1138, 1139).

DESCRIPTION: A group of thirteen arrows, whole & broken of the following description:

<> 1.75 cents Wood here appears to have been treated. The colour of the ends being darker than rest. 14.0 cents. tang of hard wood. 9.0 5.0

<> bound with fine gut for three centimetres diam. 0.8 cents. reed

<> four feathers 12.0 cents bound the whole length with fine gut

<> tang nock of horn 1.5 cents

length of reed 80. cents.

Total length of arrow. 9 + 80 + 1.5 = 90.5 cents. (The mean length of this group of arrows is 89.0 cents).
