370, RR. GROUP OF ARROWS

A group of 30 'footed' arrows of (slightly) 'chested' pattern, i.e. the 'footed' shaft tapers from the beginning of the 'foot' to 'pile' or point. L. of arrows (is fairly uniform there being a centimeter or so of difference) 86.5 cents. They are made as follows: -

Bronze 'pile' leaf-shaped with tang. <> 11.0 cents.

Tapered hard wood 'foot' with tang <> 10.5 cents diam. 0.7 cents.

Parallel reed shaft 63.3 cents long (average diam. 0.7 cents) Four feathers 16 cents. <> bound with narrow strips of hide and coloured, the 'nock' end coloured and ornamented

<> tanged 'nock' of hard wood bound and painted <> 1.7
