Length 39.5 cents. overall.

System of wrapping layers

1 A triple longitudinal band over front and back. A triple longitudinal band round sides Three triple and one double transverse bands; round head, neck, abdomen and ankles. 2 Under which a linen covering. 3 Under covering sheet transverse wrapping, and a plaited band round edge of toes <> tied here plaited strip of linen 4 A folded sheet over the whole of the front. 5 Transverse and criss-cross bandaging. Large stiffening pads over feet, for strength & shape 6 Large side pads which bandages to hold them in place 7 Broad bands wound round transversely 8 Large folds of linen (pads) to make good the legs. 9 Transverse bandages holding thick pads over abdomen & chest. 10 Numerous transverse bandages; large shapen pad to make up feet. 11 Thin strips of linen wound round transversely some twenty-four times to hold under covering sheets & pads in place. (photo). 12 Large covering sheets wound transversely & much charred.
