"The procession of the bed-chamber"
This inscription is explained to some extent by Casket 267, šms being thence shown to be
an abbreviation for šms-wd3 "funeral procession" and <> proving to be a short writing of 
"bed". Presumably the box was carried in the funerary procession named "the procession of
the bed-chamber" i.e. probably that procession which we see depicted in the tombs of
Amenemhet, of Ramose, and others.
