Below the above frieze the whole field is heavily embossed and
chased with a scene of wild animals and plants; the subjects
being: -
from top downwards
a. Young male ibex attacked by a lion from underneath;
b. Male calf galloping with slughi-hound on its back biting its
tail;
c. Adult male ibex attacked by a cheetah (tail annulated) on
shoulders and neck, and a lion grappling with the antelope from
below (upon the shoulder of the lion <> rosette).
d. A galloping bull being attacked by a hound from underneath.
e. Young male calf in full retreat.
(Note: the plants, in field between the animals, are treated
conventionally as ornaments.).
This scene terminates at the bottom (point) with a floral device:
