182 Wooden Oar

1. Position N side of sepulchral chamber, between shrine and wall. (See phot.). Series of 11 (182-192).

2. Dimensions Max. L. 83 Handle L. Top to projection Diam at top. W. at bottom 43 25 2 3 Projection L missing: Diam ? Blade L. Max. W. Min. W. 40.5 10 5

3. Description Oar of hard red wood, coated with black resinous material. Eye in yellowish paint on one side of blade. Possibly a model of the steering oar.

4. Treatment Washed with water: sprayed with acetone: brushed over with thin coating of paraffin wax to dull the glossy surface.
